The attraction is fictional. The ship's ghost stories aren't.

Those who cross into the Devil’s Sea are forever changed.

Called to drink from the waters of the Bay by the voices below, they are promised power, wealth, and pleasures beyond imagination, only to be left with an unquenchable thirst for its bloody depths.

This Halloween season, step aboard the USS Hornet and enter a ship overtaken by the madness of the Devil’s Sea. Make your way through the Haunted Hornet, where dark corridors, twisted creatures, sudden scares, and things from below wait around every corner.

On select Haunted Hornet nights, before or after their journey into the darkness, guests can gather at The Devil’s Tavern for haunted mocktails, eerie elixirs, and chilling nonalcoholic drinks for guests of all ages, along with spirited cocktails for guests 21+.

The Devil’s Tavern is open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and one special Thursday, October 29. Tavern availability varies by event date.

Choose Your Crossing

Haunted Hornet uses timed entry to keep the groups smaller, the scares stronger, and the creatures from getting too comfortable.

Choose your arrival time when you buy your ticket and come aboard at the time shown.

A few additional tickets may be available at the door if the spirits allow, but advance reservations are strongly recommended.

Admission

Haunted Hornet is recommended for ages 13+.

Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.

Early Season General Admission:
September 24 through October 15

Regular General Admission:
October 16 through November 1

Military / Veteran Admission:
Available throughout the run. Just bring valid military or veteran identification with you when you check in.

Halloween Night: October 31

Halloween gets a little more wicked.

Make a full night of it with Haunted Hornet and Monster Bash.

Save $10 compared with buying both separately.

Know Before You Go Below

The USS Hornet is a real historic aircraft carrier, which means parts of the ship include narrow passageways, raised thresholds, steep ladders, and plenty of twists and turns.

Accessibility is limited in many areas of the ship, while the main Hangar Deck is accessible. Please take a look at the USS Hornet’s accessibility information before purchasing if you have mobility concerns.

Expect darkness, sudden scares, theatrical effects, tight passageways, strange creatures, and a few things that may be better left beneath the Bay.

Please arrive on time for your selected entry so we can keep your crossing moving smoothly.
