A space to be held in your grief & supported by community.
Grief can feel lonely, especially when the world around us keeps moving. Grief Tending Circles offer a gentle place to slow down, connect, and be with whatever you’re carrying.
During this 90-minute gathering, we’ll create space for:
🌿 Connection — meet others who understand the experience of loss
💛 Sharing & witnessing — share as much or as little as feels right
🕯️ Reflection & ritual — gently honor what and who we’ve lost
🌱 Grounding — connect with your body, nature, and the present moment
🤍 Community — experience the comfort of not having to grieve alone
There’s no “right” way to grieve, and you don’t need to have the right words. Come exactly as you are.
We don't fix grief. We tend to it—together.
All forms of grief and loss are welcome.

A Note About Support & Care
Grief Tending Circles are intended to provide a supportive, healing space for tending to grief in community. While I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I am participating in these gatherings in the role of facilitator, not therapist. Participation in a Grief Tending Circle does not establish a therapist-client relationship, and these gatherings are not a substitute for individual or group psychotherapy.
The circles offer opportunities for reflection, ritual, sharing, witnessing, and connection. You are always invited to participate at the level that feels comfortable for you.
If you are experiencing an acute mental health crisis, are concerned about your safety, or feel that you need more individualized therapeutic support, please seek appropriate professional or crisis support. You are also welcome to contact me, and I can help connect you with additional resources and referrals.
Come join us to learn and play the game of shogi (Japanese chess)! Players of all levels are welcome.
