About This Event

In Arboreal Light and Magic, Gilbert Gorski presents landscapes that exist somewhere between the familiar and the imagined. Towering trees, winding paths, and distant horizons begin in places that seem recognizable, yet through Gilbert’s heightened color and extraordinary sense of scale, they become something altogether more mysterious. His landscapes feel rooted in our world while offering a glimpse into another.

There is a transportive quality to Gorski’s work. A path disappearing between trees becomes an invitation, a burst of light suggests something waiting just beyond view, and an ordinary forest takes on the presence of a place remembered from a dream. Nature is not restrained or simply observed in these paintings. It is intensified, allowed to feel powerful, theatrical, and even a little magical.

Gilbert Gorski reminds us that wonder does not belong solely to childhood or fantasy. It can be found in the landscapes around us, if we remain willing to look for it. His paintings invite us to linger, to wander, and perhaps to see the familiar world with a little more imagination.

Arboreal Light and Magic opens at Principle Gallery on Friday, November 13th, 2026, with an opening reception from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. The exhibition will remain on view through Monday, November 30th, 2026.
