In-person class: Make Your Own Sushi (Washington, DC)

Come learn how to spread, layer, tuck, and roll your way to delicious handmade sushi. In this fun, hands-on cooking class, you'll learn the skills needed to make sushi rolls at home, from preparing sushi rice and selecting sushi-grade fish to choosing ingredients that add flavor and texture to your rolls.

What You Will Learn:

You'll learn how to prepare sushi rice, work with fresh sushi ingredients, and master the techniques behind making three different sushi rolls featuring ingredients such as salmon, tuna, and avocado. Along the way, you'll learn how to layer, roll, and slice your sushi while picking up tips and techniques you can recreate in your own kitchen.

No Experience Necessary:

Whether you're a sushi enthusiast who wants to be part of every step or a first-timer who's happy to learn, assist, and taste along the way, this class is designed to be fun, casual, and approachable. All ingredients, tools, and equipment are provided, and you'll learn techniques you can easily recreate at home using ingredients available at local markets.

Please Arrive 15 Minutes Early to Check In:

You will be seated with your booking party, and guests in the same booking will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are not included in the ticket price. Outside beverages are not permitted.

The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Groups of 2 may be asked to share their station with another couple. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in so that class can begin on time.
