Medicaid is Changing Presentation with ACNC (offered in-person & via zoom)

Federal law is changing who can get Medicaid health coverage.

In 2025, Congress passed and the President signed a new federal law that made significant changes to Medicaid. You may hear this law called H.R. 1, or the One Big Beautiful Bill.

Because of this federal law, some people will lose Medicaid coverage, and many others will have new requirements they need to follow to keep their coverage. This presentation will focus on four major changes:

• Changes for many non-citizens
• Shorter retroactive coverage
• New work and community engagement requirements
• More frequent Medicaid renewals

These changes do not all begin at the same time. The first major change starts October 1, 2026. Other changes begin January 1, 2027.
