THE BOOK SLAM LIVE IN ATLANTA

Get ready, Atlanta — The Book Slam Live is back this fall! Join us Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM at the historic Auburn Avenue Research Library in downtown Atlanta for an unforgettable afternoon where literature, music, and live performance collide. The Book Slam Live transforms the traditional author reading into a dynamic stage experience, bringing books and poetry to life through powerful performances accompanied by the soulful sounds of a live jazz band.

Some of the hottest emerging and established authors and poets from Atlanta and surrounding cities will converge on one stage to share their words in an entirely different way. Hear compelling excerpts, passionate poetry, unforgettable stories, and thought-provoking narratives performed before a live audience as jazz musicians create the soundtrack in real time. Whether you're an avid reader, an author, a poet, a creative, or simply someone who appreciates great storytelling and live music, The Book Slam Live offers an experience unlike the traditional literary event.

Come celebrate books, culture, creativity, community, and the people behind the stories at the Fall Book Slam Live! Discover authors you may not know yet, connect with fellow book lovers, experience literature through performance, and be part of an afternoon designed to remind us just how powerful the written—and spoken—word can be. Hear the Authors. Meet the Authors. Speak with the Authors. Mark your calendar for October 31 at 12 PM and experience The Book Slam Live — Where Stories Come Alive!
