Manos a la Obra - Sugar Skull workshop

This season, Manos a la obra invites you to explore the vibrant traditions of Día de Muertos through hands-on art activities and workshops. You will learn about the cultural significance of the holiday while creating traditional artwork. This series includes creating sugar skulls (calaveras de azúcar). The program offers a creative space to celebrate remembrance, heritage, and community through art.

The program provides opportunities for artists and community members of all ages and experience levels to create, learn, and share. You may work independently, collaborate with others, or learn from guest teaching artists who share their knowledge, techniques, and personal artistic practices.
