Yoga for Wisdom Warriors

You can consider yourself in your wisdom years if you are a little creaky around the joints, move a little slower than you used to, or have body parts that have been replaced or that have limitations from mileage or injuries. You are also in your wisdom years if you appreciate the rewards that come from honoring your inner wisdom over striving for an artificial ideal of perfection.

Yoga for Wisdom Warriors will be taught in a gentle, beginner hatha yoga style. That means it will be an alignment-based, heart-centered class with plenty of modifications. Each student will be encouraged to find the pose that’s optimal for them. There will be time for stillness, breathwork, warm-ups, gentle yoga postures, and rest and relaxation.

Classes will be held on Tuesday afternoons, 1:30 – 3:00 pm at The Sanctuary Wellness Center.

The summer session will begin on June 23. Classes are scheduled every other week for 6 weeks: June 23, July 07, July 21, August 04, August 18, and September 01.

The investment for each 90-minute class is $30. Students can sign up for all six classes for $150, a savings of $30 -- equivalent to one free class!
