Which Certification Is Right for You?

PMP Eligibility (You must meet one of these pathways)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher: 36 months of experience leading projects within the past 10 years.

• Associate’s-level/higher certificate/technical qualification: 48 months of experience leading projects within the past 10 years.

• Secondary/high school diploma or equivalent: 60 months of experience leading projects within the past 10 years.

• GAC-accredited bachelor’s/postgraduate degree: 24 months of experience leading projects within the past 10 years.

Plus: 35 hours of project management education, unless you hold an active CAPM® certification.

CAPM Eligibility (You must meet one of these pathways)

• Secondary degree: High school diploma, GED, or global equivalent.

• 23 hours of project management education completed before the exam.

• No project management experience is required.

• PMI's current page also lists 18 years old as a requirement.

You will receive the 35 or 23 contact hours certificate within 24 hours of course completion.
