Presented by the City of Birmingham Office of the Mayor and Office of Unhoused Strategies
Join community leaders, service providers, faith-based organizations, advocates, residents, and partners from across Birmingham for the State of Homelessness 2026 Community Learning Summit & Public Forum.
This gathering is designed to move our community from conversation to greater understanding, collaboration, and action around homelessness in Birmingham.
Breakout sessions will explore topics including Diversion & Rapid Exit, Continuum of Care 101, Emotional Intelligence in Community-Based Work, Faith-Based Approaches to Homelessness, and PAST FORWARD: History, Community & Civic Engagement.
Continuing education credit will be available for select sessions.
Beyond Awareness to Action continues on Saturday, November 7, 2026 with a Community Cleanup & Day of Service at Church of the Reconciler.
Volunteers will support cleanup, beautification, landscaping, painting, and other improvement projects throughout the site.
Saturday requires a separate registration.
