About This Event
Join us for the live reading event featuring local author Jake Rudquist. The event will include a section from his book, "We're All Dead Here", and some selections of "Scary Stories", just in time for spooky season.
About the author
Jake C. Rudquist is the author of the acclaimed middle-grade horror novel, We're All Dead Here, which follows two 12-year-old ghosts, a boy and a girl, as they navigate the dangers of the spirit world. It was a 2026 Featured Book in Vivant Magazine, a 2025 Best Book of the Summer in Resident Magazine, and earned the coveted "Get It" recommendation from Kirkus Reviews. The novel was written for middle-grade readers because that's the age when Rudquist most loved to read, with the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series amongst his favorites.
