SciBRIDGE Connect
This Fall, FAU Grad SciBRIDGE presents an evening of meaningful connections.
What is SciBRIDGE?
FAU Grad SciBRIDGE is a new student-driven graduate professional association from the College of Science's Center of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (CMBB). Our mission: bring together STEM graduate students and professionals — from biotech/pharma, venture capital, research organizations, academia, and more — to build real relationships.
We're more than a career development association. We're a community. Our distinguished SciBRIDGE mentors help students explore career pathways, make decisions about their future, connect with other professionals, and navigate life beyond the lab.
SciBRIDGE Connect is for:
Graduate Students to
🧭 Explore career pathways beyond the bench, straight from people who've walked them
🗣️ Get facetime with industry professionals in a low-pressure, structured or open setting
🌱 Build relationships that can turn into mentorship long after the event ends
Professionals to
🔬 Meet the next generation of scientific talent — motivated, cross-disciplinary graduate researchers actively exploring where their skills fit in industry
🤝 Build your own network with peers across biotech, pharma, and research
💡 Share your path. Many of our best mentor relationships start with a single conversation at an event like this one.
What to Expect
🎙️ Rotating Panel (Graduate Students Only) — Seated in small groups of 6–7, with expert panelists rotate through for structured 10-minute conversations. This is a pre-assigned panel, so seats are limited to grad student attendees. Not sure how to start? We'll have panel cards ready to guide the conversation if you need it.
🤝 Open Networking (Everyone Welcome) — Prefer something less structured, or joining us as a professional guest? Mingle at your own pace with attendees throughout the evening.
Either way, you'll leave with new contacts across pharma, biotech, and STEM career pathways.
NOTE: This show will be held at The BOX 2.0 - right next door to our main room. After 14 years on The Howard Stern Radio Show (1998), John Melendez did 10 years on NBC's T
