Daniel Kimbro

Daniel Kimbro

Grammy-nominated bassist, acclaimed songwriter, and consummate entertainer Daniel Kimbro brings a rare combination of virtuoso musicianship and down-to-earth charm to the 41st Street Music Patch. Raised on the rich traditions of East Tennessee roots music, Daniel has spent more than two decades performing and recording with artists including Eric Clapton, John Hiatt, Larkin Poe, Eric Johnson, and many others.

His latest solo album, Carpet In The Kitchen, reveals the full depth of his artistry—thoughtful songwriting, inventive arrangements, and stories that range from family and fishing to love, loss, and the strange world we’re all trying to navigate. Loudon Wainwright III praised the album’s “Loyston” as worthy of comparison with John Prine’s classic “Paradise.”

But don’t expect a solemn evening. Between songs, Daniel is famously funny, quick-witted, and delightfully unpredictable. Whether he’s dazzling on upright bass, guitar, or another stringed instrument, he turns every performance into a joyful, intimate experience.

This is the kind of concert that reminds you why live music matters. Reserve your seats now—Daniel Kimbro is one of the most in-demand touring and studio musicians in Americana today, and this will be a rare opportunity to experience him up close in a true listening-room setting.
