Yin Yoga style is a practice of gentle and passive floor-based stretches held for a brief duration of time (3-5min) while a quiet focus is placed on awareness of relaxing the body through calm conscious breathing. Yin yoga improves connective joint integrity, emotional balance and overall well-being; the perfect self-care for a tense inflexible body.
A yin yoga and sound bath session blends gentle floor-based stretches held with immersive vibrations from crystal singing bowls, gongs and other instruments to deepen relaxation and release tension. Participants find a comfortable position on their mats, option to bring your own props like bolsters or blankets. Once settled, the practice of allowing gravity to gently open joints while sound waves wash over them to quiet the mind and soothe the nervous system begins.
Reminder that you are in control of your experience, so if you need to adjust or modify position, step out, or take a break, you are encouraged to honor your needs. I ask that the quiet and calm nature of the space be respected and all guests honor each other's space and experience with minimal to no disruptions.
ALL ATTENDEES should bring their own soft mat or cushy blanket, and bottle of water.
