About the panelists:

PAGE POWARS is the New York Times, USA Today, and #1 Indie bestselling author of But I Hate Him, And They Were Roommates, and more gay books for both teenagers and adults. He was raised by video game lore that requires stringboard analyses to understand. He lives in Brooklyn with his partner.

USA Today Best Selling and Audie winning author ADRIANA HERRERA was born and raised in the Caribbean, but for the last fifteen years has let her job (and her spouse) take her all over the world. She loves writing stories about people who look and sound like her people, getting unapologetic happy endings. The New York Times once called her book "sweet, thoughtful, and delightfully filthy too."

When she’s not dreaming up love stories, planning logistically complex vacations with her family or hunting for discount Broadway tickets, she’s a trauma therapist in New York City, working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

CAMRYN GARRETT is an NAACP Image Award-nominated author and filmmaker. Her first novel, Full Disclosure, received rave reviews from outlets such as Entertainment Weekly, the Today Show, and The Guardian. Her second novel, Off the Record, received three starred reviews. Her third novel, Friday I’m in Love, was an IndieNext Pick and received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly. Her debut middle-grade novel, The Forgotten Summer of Seneca, published by Abrams, was featured on the Today Show. Her work has been translated into 9 languages. Camryn is also interested in filmmaking and has written and directed several short films. You can find her on Twitter @dancingofpens, tweeting (too much) from a laptop named Stevie.

KIMANI MAE is a writer from the newly recognized Central New Jersey with deep Southern roots- although she calls Brooklyn home. She is a 2022 WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Quarterfinalist and 2023 Atlanta Film Festival Short Screenplay Competition Quarterfinalist. Half Court Shot: A Sapphic Sports Romance is her debut novel.
