Do you find yourself longing for the days of salons, artists gathering in parlors to commune over their craft and ideas?

Summer at Casa Duse is a series of performances each week throughout the summer with a focus on community building. From concerts to plays to dance to socials (and fresh combinations of each), each event features artists who are excited to create for the sake of creating. Come around each week for friends, performance, and of course, wine.

We want to see you at every event, beginning with our kick-off: Summer Solstice at Casa Duse. Join us this Thursday to experience the charm of Casa Duse and meet the people who are going to make this an unforgettable summer - especially our special guests Lucía Caruso and Pedro H. da Silva of the Manhattan Camerata!

The Manhattan Camerata is a unique multicultural chamber ensemble known for its performances of Transclassical Music™, a distinctive musical style created by its founders Lucía Caruso and Pedro H. da Silva. Since its inception in 2009, Manhattan Camerata has become one of the world's most versatile, flexible, and stylistically diverse ensembles, equally adept at Tango and Fado, Flamenco and Middle Eastern music, medieval and rock arrangements, as well as film scores and original contemporary compositions. Performances unconventionally meld the western classical chamber orchestra with world instruments (Portuguese guitar, bandoneón, sitar, darbuka, to name a few) – often presented in new works.

Summer Solstice at Casa Duse begins at 7:30 PM on Thursday, July 9th at Casa Duse, 16 Prospect Park West in Brooklyn. We hope to see you there!
