Led by Carmen S. Rizzo, this movement class brings together friendly vibes, improvisation and individual choice-making, and contemporary technique. Class will begin with a playful guided improv during which movers can tune in to their body's needs and creative whimsy. Next, we will explore momentum, release, and expansive limb use through both standing and floor technique exercises. Class will culminate with a joyful dance phrase, during which participants can take creative license and put their own spin on the material.
Beginner-friendly options and accommodations will be available for most of the material explored.
