The BSIS California Security Guard Training Class is a one day class required by the state. The course is a mandatory step, and is composed of two main sections. You will learn the Powers to Arrest which is a module designed to familiarize students on the topics of performing legal arrest on private citizens. Our company uses the training manual mandated by the CA Department of Consumer Affairs-- Power to Arrest Manual (3 Hours). The next portion of class is dedicated to Appropriate Use of Force (5 Hours) and Force Options for a Security Guard. This portion of the course includes lecture, exercises, discussion and role-playing.
The cost of the class is $80 which includes training materials, however, the class price does not include live scan nor BSIS state application fees. Firearms training is at 9am and Guard Card Training is at 3pm.
U.S. Veterans train for$40. MUST show current ID or proof of service and MUST register on-line to attend.
Once again, this training will allow you to apply for your guard card. This training does not include BSIS application and live scan fees.
