We’re taking over Tin Roof for a night of horror, absurdity, experimentation, transformation, and dancing deep into spooky season.

Prioritizing local and Southern LGBTQ artists and filmmakers, we’ve curated an evening of horror, experimental film, absurdity, music videos, animation, video art, and performance for your spooky season pleasure.

This first gathering is themed MUTATION, exploring change, survival, transformation, and what comes next.

Strange. Surreal. Queer. Dark. Funny. Psychedelic. Unclassifiable.

WHY WE’RE GATHERING

This inaugural Cosmic Culture Club is a fundraiser for PARAPRONOIA: Lucid Nightmare, an experimental science fiction film by Charleston based writer, filmmaker, and activist Vasilios Papapitsios.

Born from Vasilios’s experiences with addiction, psychosis, chronic illness, disability, recovery, and survival, Lucid Nightmare transforms hitting rock bottom into a surreal story about mutation, connection, and choosing to change. Funds raised will help complete the film’s final edit, animation, visual effects, sound, and color so this deeply personal project can finally make its way into the world.

Cosmic Culture Club will continue beyond this first night, with future gatherings supporting different artists, projects, and organizations from across the region.
