The NHCA Charlotte Chapter invites Hispanic contractors and construction business owners to Construyendo un Negocio Sólido, a two-part educational workshop designed to provide practical tools for building stronger, more profitable, and sustainable construction businesses.

Knowing your trade is only part of running a successful company. Contractors must also understand pricing, cash flow, contracts, compliance, hiring, leadership, marketing, and customer relationships.

Across two evening sessions, participants will explore four core areas of business management through practical information designed for contractors and entrepreneurs in the construction industry.

The program will use construction terminology in English with explanations in Spanish, helping participants strengthen both their business knowledge and their understanding of terminology commonly used in the industry.

Session 1 – October 29

Module 1: Financial Management

• Understanding costs and pricing
• Bidding and proposals
• Cash flow management

Module 2: Legal & Compliance

• Contracts and payment protection
• Licenses, insurance, and business structure
• OSHA and jobsite safety

Session 2 – November 5

Module 3: Team Leadership & Hiring

• Training and safety culture
• Keeping workers motivated

Module 4: Marketing & Customer Growth

• Defining your ideal customer
• Low-cost marketing strategies that work
• Pricing and negotiation psychology
• Handling customer complaints

Certificate of Completion

Participants who attend both workshop sessions will receive an NHCA Charlotte Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of the November 5 session.
