Needle Felting Holiday Ornaments

Needle felting is the art of shaping and layering wool fibers with a special barbed needle to make images and textures. In this beginner-friendly class, you'll make a holiday ornament that's perfect for hanging on your tree or giving to a friend. We'll go over the basic tools and materials, including the different types of wool, and how to use the needles safely (they're pokey, but we'll keep it friendly). We'll focus on 2D felting, where fibers get pressed into a flat surface to build a design, kind of like painting with wool. Then we'll sneak in a little 3D to add texture and depth. By the end of class, you'll have your very own felted holiday ornament and the know-how to keep felting at home.
