The Right to Thrive in Every Season is a Black Women’s Health Summit centered on the health, experiences, and voices of Black women—and the communities that depend on us.
Too often, Black women are expected to carry families, workplaces, and communities while our own physical, emotional, and mental well-being is pushed to the side. We are expected to be strong, capable, resilient, and available—sometimes at the expense of ourselves.
This summit creates space to change that conversation.
Presented by the Msaada Center for Community Transformation, The Right to Survive brings women together for honest, engaging conversations about our health, the systems that affect it, and what it means to advocate for ourselves and one another.
We’ll talk about more than illness and healthcare. We’ll talk about the realities of living in our bodies, navigating systems, carrying responsibility, finding support, setting boundaries, and having the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about our lives.
Because when Black women are healthier, supported, heard, and empowered, the impact reaches far beyond us. Our families benefit. Our workplaces benefit. Our communities benefit.
We deserve more than survival.
We have the right to thrive.
