More about Chess Wizards:

Who Are The Wizards of Chess Wizards?

Our Wizards are an eclectic mix of educators with a passion for the game of chess and an ability to make the game fun for kids!

Our team uses modern teaching techniques, exciting activities, and a sense of humor to create an exciting classroom experience that brings the game of chess to life.

The Chess Wizards Mission

Create a safe, fun and friendly environment for our students; inspire lifelong learning, both on and off the chess board; build relationships and communities connected through the game of chess.

More than just childcare with chess boards

Our interactive curriculum is exactly what kids need to challenge their brains. They'll learn skills that will help them thrive both on and away from the chess board!

Step away from the screen and into the game

In today’s digitally connected world, Chess Wizards gives children time to interact face-to-face with friends, improve their critical thinking skills, and learn good sportsmanship.

Safe and fun for everyone

Finding childcare that's both fun and educational can be a challenge. Chess Wizards provides a safe place for your child to learn, grow, and play after the school day has ended, or on the weekends.

Chess Wizards now offers Kids Chess Classes at Lemon Wedge Arts, a hub for creative classes, artistic and community events!

This collaboration offers the exciting world of chess to a new generation of player- with no experience necessary. Lemon Wedge Arts, the hosting art school and studio, is a warm and inviting space with comfy chairs, colorful decor, and a welcoming spirit extended to all who come in to stretch their creativity, and make connections. We love to inspire people to "art" in their own way, and at their own level, mainly through drawing classes, mindful creativity, and workshops that connect people to their inner creative selves and to one another.

And Parents can play, too...Do some Art while your child learns chess, only at Lemon Wedge Arts!

Lemon Wedge Arts is offering a Saturday Morning Doodle Class at the same time as the Chess class- a chance for parents to stay and play with drawing, and de-stress! Offered from 10-11am on Saturdays during the run of the Chess course. See our other class listings for info on this course. And when you register your child for Chess Class, you'll get a discount code to sign up for this Saturday sketch class at a 30% discount!

Eric will be the Wizard in charge of leading the chess class. He knows chess, and he is amazing at working with people of any experience level. Kids in his classes are bound to have a blast, and pick up chess- based life skills, to boot! We are so excited about this collaboration between Chess Wizards and Lemon Wedge Arts!
