DIY Squirrel Puppet Taxidermy Workshop at The Insect Asylum

In this class you’ll learn how to sew, stuff, and assemble a squirrel head, then attach it to a puppet stick or pen of your choice guided by our taxidermy manager, Athena. Customize your creation with different head shapes, eye colors, and materials to make it uniquely yours. Please be aware that our taxidermist will demo the skinning as part of the education neccessary for completing this project.

No experience necessary - just bring your creativity! All materials provided.

HALLOWEEN EDITION INCLUDES AN OPTION ADD-ON OF A HALLOWEEN DECOR! For $15 more you can make a custom Halloween Hat and accessories for your puppet guided by our resident artist Cam! This will extend your workshop by 1 hour.

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, the adult must get an observer ticket. No refunds - if you are unable to attend we are happy to exchange the tickets for a different workshop by request - you must let us know if advance.
