Hooks & Hops: Beginner Crochet at Henniker Brewing Company

Hooks & Hops: Beginner Crochet Workshop is a welcoming, hands-on class for anyone interested in learning to crochet in a relaxed, social setting at Henniker Brewing Company. No previous crochet experience is required.

Maybe you have always wanted to crochet but did not know where to begin. Perhaps you have watched a few tutorials and wondered where your hook was supposed to go. Or maybe you learned years ago and could use a friendly refresher. Wherever you are starting, you are welcome to join us.

During this two-hour workshop, Dasha from Dash of Creativity will guide you through the basics one step at a time. You will have plenty of time to practice, ask questions, and receive individual guidance as you begin your first project.

Crochet can take a little patience at first, but you do not need to figure it out alone. We will slow things down, work through each step together, and recognize the small victories, from making your first stitch to seeing your project take shape.

During the Workshop, You Will Learn

• How to comfortably hold a crochet hook
• How to position and control your yarn
• How to create foundational crochet stitches
• How to recognize and work into your stitches
• How to keep your stitches more consistent
• How to begin and follow a simple crochet project
• How to correct common beginner mistakes
• How to continue practicing after the workshop

Your Ticket Includes

• A crochet hook to use during the workshop and take home
• Yarn and all additional project materials
• Two hours of beginner-friendly, hands-on instruction
• Step-by-step demonstrations
• Individual guidance as time allows
• A beginner crochet project started during the workshop
• The materials needed to continue practicing at home

Everything will be ready when you arrive. Simply grab a drink, find a seat, and get ready to crochet.

A Creative Afternoon at Henniker Brewing Company

Learning a new craft is even more enjoyable in a welcoming atmosphere with a locally made beverage nearby. Food and craft beverages will be available for purchase directly from Henniker Brewing Company during the event. Drinks are not included with workshop admission.

Come on your own and meet other local crafters. Bring a friend for a creative afternoon together, or gather a group for a different kind of weekend outing. You are welcome to chat and socialize as you work or settle in and focus on learning something new.

You may arrive as a complete beginner, but you will leave with new crochet skills, your own hook and materials, a project in progress, and a better understanding of how to continue crocheting at home.

Minimum Enrollment and Refund Policy

A minimum of five participants is required for the workshop to run. If minimum enrollment is not met, the workshop may be canceled or rescheduled. If Dash of Creativity cancels the workshop, all registered participants will receive a full refund.

Participant Cancellations

Refunds are available for cancellations made at least seven days before the workshop. Because materials are purchased and prepared in advance for each participant, tickets are nonrefundable within seven days of the event and are not transferable.
