Understanding Behavioral Expression: Practical Strategies for Compassionate Care What is a resident’s behavior telling you? Join us for an engaging session designed to help residential care providers and staff recognize the needs behind behavioral expressions and respond with confidence and compassion. Explore best practices for supporting residents who experience unsafe wandering, elopement, frustration, disorientation, hallucinations, or reduced awareness of hazards. Learn how factors such as boredom, fear, overstimulation, fatigue, pain, dementia, medication interactions, and illness may contribute to these behaviors. Build practical skills to identify potential triggers, respond to residents’ needs, and promote a safer, more supportive care environment.CEUs: DSS Approved – 5 hours approved on dementia for RCFE administrators.
