Experience the essentials of Zen practice in this accessible, hands-on workshop.
This workshop provides an introduction to Zen Buddhism and Kwan Um Zen-style practice with PZC Co-guiding teachers Zen Master Tan Gong (José Ramírez) & Kwan Haeng Sunim JDPSN.
The Foundations of Zen workshop offers an introduction to the essential teachings and practice forms of Buddhism, with special emphasis on the Kwan Um School of Zen (KUSZ) tradition, founded by Korean Zen Master Seung Sahn in Providence, RI over 50 years ago. This tradition emphasizes direct experience and the integration of Zen principles into everyday life.
Our experienced teachers will guide you toward a meditation practice that is accessible to all, through a hands-on exploration of the diverse practices of Zen Buddhism. The program includes an opportunity to experience Zen practice forms, including sitting & walking meditation, chanting, and bowing.
No previous meditation experience is required for this workshop.
