Join Grace Over 50 for a free community event in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This empowering afternoon is designed to educate women about domestic violence, provide practical resources, support survivors without judgment, and help all of us better understand how to support someone we know who may be experiencing abuse.
You do not have to be a survivor to attend. This conversation is for women who want to recognize the signs, understand the complexities of domestic violence, and know what to do when a friend, family member, coworker, or loved one needs support.
Our program will include conversations on recognizing abuse that isn't always visible, understanding “Why Doesn't She Just Leave?”, personal safety and self-defense, and protecting your legal and financial future.
We are honored to be joined by participating community partners and professionals, including Genesis Women's Shelter, The Family Place, Defend Her's Self Defense, and a local judge who will lead a conversation on “Protecting Your Future.”
Attendees will leave with greater awareness, practical information, community resources, and tools to help themselves or someone they care about.
Come to learn. Come to support. Come to stand with women.
