"You’re not just ‘in tech.’ You should know which room is yours from the event title.”
General tech networking can put hundreds of interesting people in one room and still make it difficult to find the people who understand your actual work.
Tech × Tribe Dallas takes a narrower approach.
Each edition is built around one clearly defined professional community.
For the first Dallas edition:
WOMEN IN PRODUCT
The room centers the professional experiences of women working across:
• Product management
• Product design and UX
• Product operations
• Product marketing
• Research and discovery
The evening begins with one short practitioner story.
Then the room moves into small six-person roundtables organized around specific product functions.
No long keynote.
No panel.
No open-room mixer as the main format.
WHO THIS EDITION IS BUILT AROUND
This edition centers women working in product and the professional questions that arise inside that work.
Attendance is open to people who work in, support, or seriously engage with product work and who respect the focus of the room.
You do not need to prove a particular identity to register.
The purpose of the theme is to make the programming specific—not to create a hostile or exclusionary environment.

THE 10-MINUTE FIELD NOTE
The evening begins with one short story from a practitioner working in or closely connected to the community.
The prompt:
“One career decision I would make differently if I were starting again.”
The Field Note is intentionally short.
It is not a keynote presentation.
The guest may discuss:
• What happened
• What changed their perspective
• What they do differently now
Confirmed guest names and affiliations will be published only after participation has been finalized and verified.
ROUND 1 - YOUR FUNCTION
Start with people whose work is closest to yours.
The discussion begins with:
What problem in your role is harder than outsiders think?
The goal is to get past job-title explanations and into the actual work.
ROUND 2 - THE HANDOFF
Rotate to another product function.
The group explores:
What do you wish another product function understood before handing work to you?
Examples may include:
• Product → Design
• Research → Product
• Product → Marketing
• Design → Engineering
• Product Operations → Product Teams
The focus is on work patterns rather than criticism of specific employers or individuals.
ROUND 3 - THE CAREER QUESTION
Rotate again.
The final round asks:
What changes when responsibility grows faster than title, authority, or support?
The discussion may include:
• Career growth
• Scope
• Influence
• Leadership
• Visibility
• Cross-functional trust
• Decision ownership"
