This is an intimate, small-group class, capped at just 2 students, so if you're looking for fun things to do in San Francisco, join this pottery workshop for hands-on, personalized instruction! Because we never take more than 2 students per session, you'll get your instructor's full attention throughout. There's no experience necessary, your instructor will guide you through the whole process, from centering the clay to shaping your piece into a cylinder or bowl, so you can enjoy a relaxed, stress-free day with clay. This intimate class size makes it a great pick for date ideas or for anyone who wants real one-on-one guidance while learning a new hobby.
What you'll get:
Your $95 ticket (per person) includes all tools, clay, glazes and firings. After you've finished your pieces, you will be able to select the glaze color for your piece(s) to be finished in. BW Pots will trim, fire, glaze and fire again your pieces, and they will be ready for pickup in 3-4 weeks.
You have lots of great options for where you can take a ceramics class, so here are a few reasons to consider joining us here at BW Pots' Clay Studio:
BW Pots (aka Brian) is an artist that has a passion for working across various mediums such as clay, charcoal, graphite, and digital. His ceramics and charcoal portraits have been exhibited locally and internationally. When he's not creating tiny teapots and functional ceramics for BW Pots or teaching drawing classes, you can find him surfing the waves at the nearest beach.
Brian earned his BFA in Ceramics at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania and his MFA in Visual Development from the Academy of Art in San Francisco.
