Archaeology Lab Day - October

How do we know what we know about the past?

Archaeology is so much more than digging! Scientists spend much more time analyzing artifacts in the lab and writing reports than they do excavating in the field.

Join FPAN Southeast to learn about orphaned museum collections, what we lose when we pull artifacts from the ground, and try your hand at pottery identification!

Please wear closed-toe shoes, avoid dangling jewelry, and be advised that while we we have a caffeination station and snack area, food and water are not permitted inside the lab. FAU Davie West is an accessible building but does have a path from the parking lot to the entrance, as well as between the elevators and lab on the 4th floor.

Email southeast@fpan.us with your name, license plate, and vehicle make, model, and color to reserve a free parking spot! Otherwise, paid parking is available onsite.

Feel free to call or text (954) 612-4393, or email southeast@fpan.us, with any questions!

We'll see you at the lab!
