Discover the expressive power of abstract watercolor landscapes in this new 2-hour workshop. Learn to capture the emotion and essence of nature through color, shape, and texture, moving beyond realistic depictions to create personal interpretations of the world around you.

In this class, you'll explore:

- Creating emotive color palettes inspired by nature

- Simplifying landscapes into basic shapes and forms

- Experimenting with texture and unconventional tools

- Balancing abstraction with suggestive details

Through step-by-step demonstrations and guided practice, you'll learn to translate the feeling of a misty morning, the energy of a stormy sea, or the serenity of a sunset into abstract watercolor compositions.

Whether you're a beginner looking to explore watercolors in a freeing way, or an experienced painter aiming to push the boundaries of your work, this workshop offers a fresh perspective on landscape painting. Come ready to experiment, express, and discover the joy of abstract landscapes!

About the Instructor:

Majoring in Illustration at Savannah College of Art & Design, I started my journey working as a textile designer for six years in Atlanta, GA. After lots of soul searching I jumped into a career of painting in 2013. I have been doing so full time since selling fine art, prints, and licensing my work.

The natural world is so beautiful and I hope my art is a reflection of that sentiment.
