Event Overview
Have you ever wondered how movies, television shows, theaters, and theme parks create incredible special effects?
During SFX Day, students will explore the creative and technical processes behind special effects used throughout the entertainment industry. Participants will investigate practical effects, prop design, costume enhancement, visual storytelling, makeup techniques, and creative fabrication methods while learning how artists, designers, and makers bring imaginative ideas to life.
Through hands-on activities and design challenges, learners will experiment with materials, develop new creative skills, and create custom props and special effects projects of their own.
