Talent Lounge: Holiday Maker Studio

Students will design and create their own handmade gifts, with possibilities ranging from toys, dolls, and jewelry to home décor, mixed-media art, and other functional creations. They’ll have the freedom to invent something unique while thinking like both a maker and a product designer.

Along with creating their gifts, students will explore the details that turn an idea into a finished product, including packaging, care instructions, product descriptions, display, and sustainability. What materials are they using? Can they be reused, recycled, or responsibly sourced? Students will consider the entire life of their creation from design to gift-giving.
