Storytelling Workshop at Wilder Library Branch

Wilder Library Branch is partnering with The Stories of Us this fall to provide storytelling workshops that help Detroiters share their stories about the Detroit Public Library system. Participants receive a $20 gift card upon completion. Each story will be archived on an innovative speech-to-story online platform as part of a larger campaign to collect 250 stories across Detroit. This effort aims to expand whose stories are told and who gets to tell them — in the pursuit of a more just America for all as we mark this nation's 250th birthday.

The Stories of Us is a storytelling organization with a single, powerful belief at its heart: the stories we tell shape the nation we live in.
