About This Event

Guided Group Forest Therapy

Bridget is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about creating spaces for healing, connection, and reflection through mindful experiences in nature. With a background in mental health and a deep appreciation for the restorative power of the natural world, Bridget weaves together therapeutic principles, mindfulness, and nature-based practices to support spiritual and emotional well-being and personal growth.

Through guided forest therapy experiences, Bridget invites participants to slow down, reconnect with their senses, and cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves and the living world around them. Her offerings are grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that nature can be a powerful companion in our journey toward balance and restoration.

A guided forest bathing session honoring change and cycles at Jensen Lake

As summer gives way to fall, the natural world offers us a quiet invitation: to slow down, to notice the turning, and to let ourselves change along with it. Join us for a gentle morning of guided forest therapy (shinrin-yoku) at Jensen Lake, timed with the fall equinox — the moment of perfect balance between light and dark.

This is not a exercise. There's no destination, no mileage to cover, no pace to keep. Guided forest therapy is a slow, sensory practice of presence, an invitation to notice what the trees, the water, and the changing light have to offer, and to let your nervous system settle into the rhythm of the season.

Together, we'll move gently through a series of invitations designed to deepen your connection to the land and to the cycles: in nature, and in ourselves. Expect quiet walking, moments of stillness, sensory noticing practices, and space for reflection. No experience with meditation or nature therapy is needed, just a willingness to slow down and be present.

What is forest therapy?

Forest therapy, also known as forest bathing, is a gentle, guided practice that invites you to slow down, awaken your senses, and reconnect with the natural world. Rooted in the principles of ecotherapy, it offers an opportunity to experience the restorative presence of trees and nature in a mindful, intentional way. Supported by decades of research, forest therapy has been shown to nurture physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, offering a peaceful space to rest, reflect, and restore. To do so in community with others and alongside a guide enhances these benefits.

The Location: Navigate to the Jensen Lake Trailhead in Eagan, MN. We will either gather in the shelter if it is raining or furhter down on the trail near the water. I will meet you at the shelter either way.

WHAT TO BRING: an easily transportable camp chair or blanket to sit on, notebook and writing utensil, water, snack for yourself if you'd like, shoes and clothes you can wear on or slightly off a trail (consider weather changes; sun hat, rain jacket, umbrella, layers). I will have extra sunscreen and bug spray for all who choose to use it.

ACCESSIBILITY & WHAT TO EXPECT: a very short hike, time to reflect and journal if desired, time for sharing and communing in a circle, and a deep sense of calm. This specific event is for adults 18+. Those with mobility assistance needs or wheelchair may contact Lebanon Hills Regional Park during business hours for information on accessibility.

WEATHER: This event will happen rain or shine; light rain can add an exceptional quality to the experience. If weather is severe, the event will be rescheduled and tickets will be refunded. Please bring clothing options that can accommodate different kinds of weather.

Space is limited to keep the group intimate — reserve your spot below.
