Cretaceous Geological Treasures — Sierra de Juárez

Location: NE Sierra de Juárez, Ciudad Juárez

Meet up location: US side: Stanton St. , Downtown Bridge port of entry, 1001 S Stanton St, El Paso, TX 79901, United States

On this hike, we will travel back to the Cretaceous Period, when the region was covered by a sea rich in marine life. Along the trail, we will discover rocks that record ancient marine and magmatic events and see how these processes shaped the beautiful landscape we observe today. In collaboration with Sociedad Geoscientifica del Desierto Chihuahuense.

En esta caminata, viajaremos al período Cretácico, cuando la región estaba cubierta por un mar rico en vida marina. • 3-4 liters of water/Agua
• Healthy snacks/ Bocadillos
• Hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers/Calzado cómodo para caminar
