Explore fall on the farm with Little Farmers Story Time!
Designed for curious little farmers ages 3–5 and their caregivers, this one-hour class brings early literacy to life through stories, songs, sensory exploration, and hands-on adventures around the farm.
What sound does the letter H make? What other things can we find on the farm that start with H?
This week, our Little Farmers will explore hay! After introducing our letter of the week and sharing a story together, we’ll head outside for a fall adventure around the farm.
Climb aboard the hayride as we travel around the crop and hay fields and discover where hay comes from and why it’s important on the farm. We’ll stop at the Alfalfa Barn to see the hay grown right here at Gorman Heritage Farm and visit some of the animals who enjoy eating it!
Little Farmers Story Time pairs children’s literature with hands-on farm experiences designed to encourage young children to read, listen, move, explore, ask questions, and experience the natural world with all five senses.
Ticket cost is for one Adult/Child Pair. Pre-registration is required.
Additional siblings can attend for additional fee. Limited space for siblings.
Babes in Arms are Free.
Is admission to the farm include in the price of the ticket?
YES! After each class, you are welcome to continue to explore the farm with your preschooler. The farm is open from 9am-5pm on Tuesdays.
What should we wear?
Dress in layers to be prepared to both sit inside for 30 mintues and walk around outside (less than a mile on a path) for 30 minutes.
