Winter Floral Cupcakes!

About this class:

Celebrate the beauty of the season—one cupcake at a time! Stephanie of Sweet Sugarcraft will guide you through the art of buttercream floral piping. You will become familiar with star, leaf, petal, and mum piping tips as you create beautiful seasonal designs including poinsettias, pinecones, winter roses, and delicate filler blossoms made with mini–Russian tips.

Students will use a flower nail to practice small blooms before choosing their favorites to dress up 6 cupcakes—or pipe larger, statement flowers directly onto them for extra flair. You’ll also take home an easy buttercream recipe designed specifically for florals, plus helpful tips for achieving the perfect consistency and vibrant colors.

Whether you’re brand new to decorating or looking to grow your piping skills, this class is a sweet, creative way to spend your day—beginners are welcome! Actual project is pictured.

Meet Your Instructor:

Stephanie Harkin is a professional cake and cookie decorator with more than 20 years of experience, including employment in three local bakeries and service as a Wilton instructor for hundreds of students. Her talent has earned her multiple baking and decorating awards at the National Capital Cake Show and other local challenges. She joined the Fran’s crew over seven years ago, where customers have admired her work on the inspiration table or benefited from her thoughtful guidance on their own decorating projects. Known for her creativity, curiosity, and patience, Stephanie’s approachable teaching style makes her classes both enjoyable and inspiring. Her biggest passion is experimenting with and sharing new techniques to help decorators of all levels build confidence and develop their own unique toolkit of skills.

All The Details:

• Age Level: 13+
• Skill Level: Beginner
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box to take your cupcakes home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Price is per person. A ticket must be purchased for each individual attending the class.
• Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maximum of 8 students. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 2 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
