More Than Jewelry

The Jewelry Makers Lab introduces young people to skills that extend beyond making jewelry:

Creativity • Design • Measurement • Fine-Motor Skills • Attention to Detail • Following Instructions • Problem-Solving • Quality Control • Product Development • Entrepreneurship

Founder and jewelry artist Anita Crusoe, MBA, will also introduce participants to an important idea:

Something you create with your hands can become something you sell.

That is where the Maker-to-Market journey begins.

What's Next?

This introductory experience is also a pilot for a potential 6-week LakaiCreations™ Jewelry Makers Lab: Maker-to-Market Program.

At the end of the session, participants will be asked what they would like to learn next.

Based on interest, future classes may introduce more advanced jewelry-making techniques, copper and wire work, product development, costing, pricing, merchandising, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

Who Should Attend?

This experience is ideal for young people who enjoy art, fashion, jewelry, working with their hands, designing things, learning new skills, or exploring entrepreneurship.

Ages: 12–18
Experience: None required
Class Size: Only 8–12 participants
Registration: $40 per participant

Because each participant receives an individual starter kit and project materials, advance registration should be required.
