Building the Future of Orange County's MedTech Workforce Townhall

Join Biocom Institute for the Orange County MedTech Workforce Townhall, bringing together industry leaders, employers, workforce partners, educators, and other stakeholders to explore the findings from the OC MedTech Workforce Skills Assessment.

Orange County is a major hub for MedTech innovation, and as technologies such as AI, robotics, and personalized medicine continue to evolve, workforce needs are changing alongside them. Biocom Institute launched the assessment to better understand current hiring trends, emerging skills needs, and anticipated talent gaps across Orange County’s MedTech industry.

During the townhall, attendees will hear key findings from the assessment and participate in a facilitated conversation about what the results mean for employers and the broader Orange County workforce ecosystem. The assessment specifically examines hard-to-fill roles, emerging technical and soft skills, and projected talent shortages over the next three to five years.

What to Expect

The program will include:

• Highlights and key findings from the OC MedTech Workforce Skills Assessment
• Facilitated discussion on MedTech workforce needs, skills gaps, and opportunities
• Overview of the Biocom Medical Device & Diagnostics Committee
• Introduction to Biocom Institute’s Fellowship Program and Life Science Career Expo
• Opportunities to connect and network with MedTech industry leaders and workforce partners
• Light refreshments and snacks will be provided

The findings are intended to help strengthen connections between employers and educational institutions, inform workforce investments, support responsive training programs, and provide data to guide regional workforce strategies.
