Mercer Lake Bird Search

Mercer Lake Bird Search

Your Search Starts With What You Notice

Bring your curiosity to Mercer County Park. Mercer Lake Bird Search is a digital scavenger hunt that challenges you to explore, observe, and work out what each new prompt is asking you to find or do.

There’s no set formula for what comes next. You may find yourself following a clue, cracking a puzzle, completing a photo or observation challenge, making a location-based discovery, working with your team, or tackling a quick creative task. Bird-inspired challenges may also encourage you to pay closer attention to the environment around you.

Phone Charged? Email Found? You're Almost Set.

Everything you need to access the hunt is digital. A remote host will be there for check-in and assistance, so you won't be starting entirely on your own.

IMPORTANT: Your hunt instructions and event details are SENT THROUGH EMAIL. Check your inbox before heading to the starting location.

No email? Be sure to check your SPAM or JUNK folder.

Charge your phone beforehand, have the emailed information accessible, and arrive ready to explore and participate.

For further inquiries or assistance, call 609-855-1852.

A Quick Reminder

Unless specifically stated otherwise, the hunt does not include event or attraction admission, parking, transportation, food and drinks, reservations, additional activity or attraction fees, or personal expenses. Please make your own arrangements for anything you may need.

Make the Hunt Work for You

You decide how much of the challenge you take on. Every activity is optional. If a prompt isn't possible for you or involves something you're uncomfortable doing, skip it and continue.

There’s no reason to rush. Explore at your own pace and focus on the challenges you enjoy.

Good Clue Hunting Has Boundaries

Stay in areas that are open and publicly accessible, and respect park or property rules, posted instructions, local laws, and safety guidance.

A challenge never requires trespassing. Don't enter private, closed, or restricted areas, and always follow instructions provided at each location. Be courteous to other visitors and respectful of the surrounding environment while searching.
