Mia's Story:

On September 19, our contractor found Mia down the street in our neighborhood and brought her to us. She was in very poor condition. She was dirty, and both of her eyes were badly infected and bulging. We took her to the vet on September 21, where we learned she weighed only 1.5 pounds and is approximately 4-8 weeks old. The vet told us that a respiratory infection likely spread to her eyes and caused them to rupture. To prevent future infections, the recommendation was to remove her eyes. We hoped to give her a little time to gain weight before surgery. But on October 2, one of her eyes started showing signs of infection again, and surgery became much more urgent.

Update: Mia has had her surgery and is now home with us, recovering. The vet decided to keep one of her eyes, and we are hoping she can get her eyesight back once the scar heals. If the infection in that eye gets worse, she may need another surgery.

Mia was found alone and very sick, and she has already been through so much. She deserves a chance at a healthy, happy life. Her coming into our lives was an unplanned and unexpected gift, and we want to do everything we can for her. The cost of her surgery and recovery is a lot for us to cover alone. What You Will Experience

• The Cacao Ceremony: We will open our time together by sharing ceremonial cacao—a gentle, ancient plant medicine known for its heart-opening properties. Together, we will set intentions, practice mindful breathwork, and cultivate a sense of deep inner clarity. (Virtual attendees will be able to stream this portion live and participate from home).
• The Sound Bath: Following the ceremony, you will be invited to lie back and soak in the resonant, healing vibrations of crystal singing bowls. This acoustic journey promotes deep cellular relaxation, guiding your brain into a meditative state to help soothe your nervous system.

What to Bring

For In-Person Guests:

• A yoga mat or comfortable pad to lie on
• A blanket and a pillow (get as cozy as possible!)
• An eye mask (optional, but highly recommended for the sound bath)
• A journal and pen for any insights that come through
• A water bottle
• Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing
