Día de los Muertos is a multi-day tradition celebrated from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2, with roots in ancient Mesoamerican traditions. Rather than a time solely for mourning, families honor deceased loved ones and welcome their memory through altars, photographs, food, flowers, art and gathering.
IAJE is bringing Black, Brown and diverse immigrant communities together for a day of remembrance, culture and community. This is a sacred space for love, fellowship, grieving, rejoicing and celebrating together while sharing our cultures.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
Throughout the celebration, guests can also experience our community altar honoring loved ones and ancestors, local vendors and community businesses, art, music, cultural performances, food, fellowship and more.
GET INVOLVED
Artists, performers, volunteers, families, altar participants, contest participants, community partners and vendors are invited to help bring the celebration to life. There is no vendor fee.
