In Jeffersonville, Indiana there are about 18 miles of bikeway - partly the Ohio River Bikeway, partly the Discovery Trail, and partly the Big Four Bridge. The bikeway diversity of Jeffersonville is short and sweet. The 17-mile Jeffersonville loop is 83% bikeway. The 20-mile Lewis and Clark Bridge loop is 47% bikeway. This tour in Jeffersonville is a great quiet place to launch into many of Louisville's attractions just across the Big Four Bridge. The routes follow the lay-of-the-land along the Ohio River, which is relatively level. • Big Four Bridge - built as a mile-long railroad bridge over the Ohio River in1895, it was decommissioned in the '60s and reopened as a pedestrian bridge in 2013 as part of the Louisville Waterfront Park and the Big Four Station Park in Jeffersonville.
