Led by singer-songwriter Parker Schultz, Social Cig has grown from a DIY Wisconsin project into one of the most exciting bands working the Midwest indie circuit — touring relentlessly, building a fiercely loyal following and earning a reputation for live shows that feel joyful, spontaneous and completely alive.
Milwaukee Record has called Social Cig a “can’t-miss live act” and placed the band among the “top echelon of currently working Milwaukee bands.”
Shepherd Express calls their music “big-hearted skate rock anthems” — guitar-driven, melodic and unapologetically DIY.
Their fourth album, Patchwork: A Road Dog Story, arrived in 2025 as a musical travelogue of life on the road — endless shows, strange cities, broken-down vans, friendships, homecomings and the peculiar magic of chasing music from one town to the next. The album was celebrated with a release show at Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Ballroom, followed by extensive touring.
At the heart of it all are Schultz's catchy melodies and songs about growing up, figuring things out and finding something extraordinary inside ordinary Midwestern life.
And this is where seeing Social Cig at White Lilac gets particularly special.
