Intermediate Excel for Creatives

Event Description

Ready to make Excel do more of the work for you? Building on the skills introduced in

Basic Excel, this hands-on class will show you how to organize related information in

a multi-worksheet workbook and bring key data together on a convenient summary

page.

You’ll learn to create basic formulas that calculate information automatically, remove

duplicate entries, and reorganize existing data without starting over. You’ll also

discover how to give an entire worksheet a clean, consistent appearance in just a few

steps, as well as how to use security tools to protect your spreadsheet and control

what others can view or change. Along the way, you’ll pick up practical shortcuts that

make managing information faster, easier, and more accurate.

During this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

• Practical shortcuts

From business correspondence and proposals to newsletters, marketing materials, and creative projects, this class will help you feel more confident using Word as a tool for your creative business.

No prior Microsoft Word experience required.

Barbara Raymond
Barbara Raymond spent 30 years implementing and supporting human resources technology, helping organizations transform complicated systems and data into practical, usable solutions. Throughout her career, she developed extensive expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel by using these tools to solve real-world problems, simplify processes, analyze information, and create polished professional documents.

Now a facilitator for Create Appalachia’s AVANTE Creative Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, Barbara brings a practical, approachable teaching style (with a touch of humor) to Microsoft Office education. Her classes help creative entrepreneurs build confidence with essential business tools so they can work more efficiently and focus on what they do best.
