MASTERING BOURBON COCKTAILS

Mastering Bourbon Cocktails

Simple & Delicious Bourbon Cocktails for Easy Entertaining

Bourbon cocktails are not just for fall, winter, and leather chairs.

With fresh citrus, mint, bitters, orange peel, proper ice, and the right technique, bourbon can be every bit as refreshing, versatile, and crowd-pleasing as any summer cocktail.

Join us at The Distillery for Mastering Bourbon Cocktails, a hands-on cocktail class designed to help you create fresh, organic, bar-quality bourbon cocktails at home using Western Reserve Distillers’ award-winning bourbon.

In this class, you’ll receive hands-on instruction and sample three bourbon cocktails:

Bourbon Smash
A fresh, citrusy summer bourbon cocktail made with WRD Small Batch Bourbon, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, mint, and an optional splash of Fever-Tree Club Soda.

Bourbon Old Fashioned
A timeless classic featuring WRD Small Batch Bourbon, Sugar in the Raw simple syrup, Angostura bitters, a large-format ice cube, and an expressed orange peel.

Boulevardier
A bold, spirit-forward cocktail made with WRD Small Batch Bourbon, Campari, and Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth — perfect for guests who prefer something rich, balanced, bitter, and less sweet.

You’ll learn how to build balanced bourbon cocktails using fresh citrus, organic spirits, simple syrups, bitters, quality ingredients, proper shaking and stirring techniques, large-format ice, and easy garnishes.

You’ll also learn how to batch selected bourbon cocktails for home entertaining, including ready-to-pour options that can be kept chilled and served over a large-format ice cube.

But the real value is what you take home.

Each guest will receive a printed cocktail guide featuring single-serving recipes, batch recipes, shopping lists, required tools, and step-by-step instructions so you can recreate these cocktails at home for patios, cookouts, dinner parties, backyard gatherings, or the bourbon lover in your life who claims they “don’t drink fruity drinks.”

We’ve done the planning, measuring, testing, and organizing for you. You’ll leave with the skills, recipes, and confidence to make fresh, organic bourbon cocktails at home without overcomplicating it.

With more than 35,000 ticketed hands-on cocktail class experiences hosted over the past eight years, Western Reserve Distillers is one of Ohio’s most experienced names in consumer cocktail education — and we’re right here in your backyard.

Your ticket includes instructor-led demonstrations, cocktail samples, one hands-on cocktail-making experience, all tools and ingredients used during class, and a take-home recipe packet built for easy entertaining.

And because our classes are held right inside our gift shop, you can grab a bottle of WRD bourbon immediately after class and start your home cocktail journey the same day.

One quick trip to the grocery store for fresh citrus, mint, bitters, mixers, and a few simple ingredients — and you can be making fresh, bar-quality bourbon cocktails at home that evening.

Fresh ingredients. Organic spirits. Better cocktails at home.
