Overview
Put on your dancing shoes! Move & Groove 60+ is a new dance and movement class for adults 60 and older, part of the Village of Ridgefield Park Mayor's Wellness Campaign.
This class is about having fun, moving safely, and enjoying great music together, not about perfect technique. Women and men of all experience levels are welcome, including those who have never taken a dance class.
When and Where
Every Thursday in October at 7 PM
Upstairs at the Civic Center, 159 Park Street, Ridgefield Park

What to Expect
Each 60-minute class includes a warm-up, easy-to-follow dance combinations, and a cool-down with stretching and breathing. Chairs are available for balance, support, or seated movement, and every activity can be modified to different levels of intensity.
Dance supports balance, coordination, flexibility, memory, mood, and social connection, and it's a great way to meet your neighbors.
About the Program
Classes are taught by Isabel Bustamante, owner and director of Isabel's School of Dance in Bogota. Move & Groove 60+ was developed by Ridgefield Park resident Giselle Holloway as part of her Master of Arts Administration Capstone project at Rowan University, based on her research into the health benefits of dance for older adults.
As a pilot program, participants will be invited to complete a short, optional, anonymous questionnaire at the first and last class. No personal information is collected, and results will be used only to evaluate the program as a whole.
Registration
This class is free. Registration is required as space is limited. If you can no longer attend, kindly cancel your registration so someone else can take your spot.
