Don't miss one last opportunity to experience the exhibition and join us this Saturday, November 7, for a special Artist Talk with Albert Reyes and fellow artists beginning at 3 PM, followed by the closing reception.
During closing reception enjoy drinks, meet the artists, explore the exhibition, and experience Reyes’ Haunt Installation, if you dare. Costumes are encouraged but entirely optional.
Eastern Projects Gallery proudly presents Macabre, a wicked group exhibition featuring 80 artists, curated by Los Angeles artist Albert Reyes.
Macabre explores an unruly range of mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, and installation. At the center of the exhibition will be a Haunt Installation created by Reyes, inspired by his deadly love of haunted houses. The installation extends the exhibition beyond the traditional gallery experience, transforming the space into something mysterious, playful, and unsettling. The artists participating in the exhibition represent a community of creative voices that have left their mark on Reyes’ work. Some inspiring him, and, in his words, “some of them I straight rip off.”
For Reyes, Macabre is less about defining what Halloween means and more about celebrating what October brings out in artists: the strange, the dark, the humorous, the personal, and the unexpected. With 80 artists coming together under one roof, the exhibition is a distinctly Southern California celebration of art, community, and the macabre.
Admission: Free, All Ages
Exhibition Dates: October 3rd - November 7, 2026
